He was predeceased by : his parents, Hal Jackson Davis and Opal Lois Davis; his wife Shirley Smith Davis; and his half-brother Gary Davis. He is survived by : his children, Sheri Davis Chandler (David) of Chapel Hill, NC and Brandon Davis (Hailey) of Albemarle, NC; his stepchildren, Jan Almond (Kim) of Charlotte, NC, Trent Taylor (Vicky) of Aquadale, NC and Chad Taylor (Jordan) of Richfield, NC; his siblings, Gwen Shaver (George) of New London, NC and Tommy Davis (Jan) of Albemarle, NC; his half-brother John Troublefield (Peggy) of Cary, NC; and his grandchildren, Shelby Chandler Martin (Trey), Kirsten Davis, Emerson Almond and Spencer Almond. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
