In the sacred silence of farewell, Myrl is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Olney Lackey and Cora Alice Martin Lackey. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Lee Smith; and her sons, Ronnie Lynn Smith of New London and Derrick Tracy Smith of Matthews. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Et Badin Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
