He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Martin Freeman and Novia Brown Freeman; his wife Alene Kennedy Freeman; his sons, Jimmy Ray Kennedy, Roy Lee Freeman and Harvey Edward Freeman; and his grandson Donnie Kennedy.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Freeman (Cindy) of Albemarle, Susie Kidd of Richfield, Teresa Calloway (Joey) of New London, Sally Eudy of Albemarle, Brenda Galloway (Lynn) of Richfield and Renda Eudy (Charles) of New London; and his siblings, Clinton Freeman (Cindy) of Biscoe and Janice Reynolds of Biscoe. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
