She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Clegg Goodwin and Ruth Thomason Goodwin; her siblings, Carolyn G. Schorr, H. Clark Goodwin and Dr. Donald R. Goodwin; and her niece Ashley G. Wood.
She is survived by: her siblings, Samuel S. Goodwin of Monroe, NC and Cynthia Goodwin Fisher of Charlotte, NC; and her close friend Rob Tyson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to a charity of choice or that acts of kindness be done in her honor.
