He is survived by: his wife Betty Treece Drye; his daughter Lynn Drye Dimac of Durham; his siblings, Wendell Drye of Albemarle, Danny Drye of Swansboro, David Drye of Albemarle, Cornelia Brown of Albemarle and Kim Bartley of Salisbury; and his grandchild Lara.

The family requests memorials may be made to the Palestine Cemetery, 37362 Melton Rd., Albemarle, NC 28001.
