She was predeceased by : her parents, Lee Jesse Sprouse and Cora Lockheart Sprouse; and her husband Vernon Curtis Comer. She is survived by : her children, Cathy Silance (Tommy) of Albemarle, NC and Vernon Danny Comer (Rhonda) of Seagrove, NC; her grandchildren, Miranda, Matthew, Amber and Katie; and her great grandchildren, Emerson and Felix.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
