He was predeceased by: his parents, Jehu F. Hill and Maggie A. Hill. He is survived by: his sons, Hamilton Beach, Procter Silex and Borg Warner; his wife Elizabeth Kidd Hill (Betsy) of Indian Land, SC; his daughters, Ruth Hill of Waxhaw, NC and Elizabeth (Beth); and his granddaughter Megan Clayton.
