He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Burton Hathcock and Bertha Helms Hathcock; his wife Margaret Almond Hathcock; and his siblings, Hazel Hartsell, Polly Little, Lloyd Hathcock, Ralph Hathcock, Wade Hathcock and Joe Hathcock.
He is survived by: his son Tony Hathcock (Lisa) of Oakboro, NC; his grandchildren, Matt Hathcock (Emily) of Oakboro, NC and Denea Harwood (Joe) of Locust, NC; his stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Munyer (Daniel) of Concord, NC, Amber Harkey of Oakboro, NC and Alex Harkey (Ali) of Midland, NC; and his sisters, Rachel Hudson of Albemarle, NC and Margaret Almond (Tommy) of Charlotte, NC.. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Prospect Baptist Church (502 Prospect Church Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Place or Prospect Baptist Church.
