He is survived by: his parents, Emma Rushing Smith and Johnny Smith; his wife Cathy Hill Rushing; his children, Tory Rushing Jr. and Taryn Rushing; and his siblings, Elder Michael Rushing (Teresa) of Albemarle, Johnny D. Rushing of Albemarle, Johnnie Little of Albemarle, Tyler Lee of Albemarle, Harriet Little, Norwood and Nakia Rushing. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
