William Frank Blalock Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Frank Blalock Jr. of Albemarle, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frank Blalock, Sr. and Ruth Almond Blalock; his wife Hilda Furr Blalock; and his sisters, Elaine Gill and Suzie Morton.
He is survived by: his sons, Doug Blalock (Kathy) of Albemarle, Hoppy Blalock (Mary Lou) of Albemarle and Billy Blalock (Kimberly) of Albemarle; and his sister Shirley Efird of Albemarle. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church (22182 Canton Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001).
