He is survived by : his wife Kim Sadler; his father Jack Sadler; his children, Ervin Sadler III (Madison) and Hope Messer (John); his brother Andrew Sadler (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Willow Rayne Sadler and Elliott Crue Sadler; his adoptive son Alex Sword (Kylie); and his grandson Mack Sword.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, PO Box 6, Bayboro, NC 28515.
