He was predeceased by : his father Bert Charles Day "B. C."; his granddaughter Kimberly Dawn Meekins; and his brother Danny Day. He is survived by : his mother Mary Peele Day; his wife Mary Catherine "Cathy" Ashburn Day; his children, Tina Day Meekins (James) and Michael Peele Day (Lucinda "Cindy"); his grandsons, Landen Meekins, Michael Peele Day, Jr. and Nathan Day; and his siblings, Herman Day and Anna Day Arthur. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
