She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Shelton and Dorothy Shelton; her husband Mickey; her parents-in-law, Frank and Mae Roper of Nantahala, NC; her children, Charles "Chuck" Mickey Roper and Cynthia "Cindy" Dorothy Rhodes; her son-in-law Harold Rhodes; her sisters, Sharlene Cox and Jura Burt; and her siblings-in-law, Violet DeVore, James Meers, John Burt, Ben Cox, Dover Roper and Dale Roper.
She is survived by : her sister Shirley Meers of Suches, GA; her children, Terry Clark (John) of Franklin, NC, Libby Gibson (Stanley) of Nantahala, NC and Michael Roper (Catherine) of Murphy, NC.; and her grandchildren, Jacklyn Schnuphase, Devin Schnuphase (Chloe), Brandon Rhodes, Jacob Clark, Andrew Clark, Michaela Roper and Chuck Gibson.
