He is survived by: his wife Jackie Burt of Andrews; his children, Jessica Bateman (Chris) of Andrews, Austin Burt (Kayla) of Jacksonville, Phillip Rickett (Jessica) of Andrews, Jason Rickett (Quincey) of Hayesville and Dane Rickett (Charlene) of Andrews; his sister Bonnie Simpson (Freddy) of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren, Spencer Bateman, Haley of Andrews, Abigail, Austin Burt Jr. of Jacksonville, Taylor Burt of Robbinsville, Logan Rickett of Knoxville, Jon Rickett (Shea) of Hayesville, Mackenzie Rickett of Gainesville, Georgia, Dalton, Hailea Rickett of Hayesville, Hunter Rickett of Andrews, Ali of Andrews, Brianna of Andrews and Braxton Rickett of Andrews; his great grandchildren, Austyn Bateman of Andrews, Blakely and Olive Rickett of Hayesville; and his pet Tucker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the The Walker Inn (385 Junaluska Rd, Andrews, NC 28901).
