She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Horton and Sarah Green Horton; her husband Velestes; her children, Russell Eugene Newton and Deborah Kaye Newton; her daughter-in-law Angela Newton; her siblings, Charles Horton, Howard Horton, Carl Horton, Robert Horton and Margaret Upton; her grandson Eddie Holloway; and her great grandchild Logan Braatz.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Dean Newton, Garry Howard Newton, Alan Jeffery Newton and Eunice Faye Birchfield; and her sister Martha Buchanan. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made in memory of Grace Newton to the America's Breast Cancer Center.
