He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeb McMahan and Pauline Mashburn McMahan; and his siblings, Annalee Wade, Joan Pendergraph and Lowell McMahan.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Stanley McMahan of Nantahala; his sons, Scott McMahan (Randi) of Nantahala and David McMahan (Jenny) of Nantahala; his sister Linda Townsend of Thomasville; and his grandchildren, Chase, Summer and Noah McMahan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home - Andrews (126 Cherry St, Andrews, NC 28901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church (2775 Winding Stairs Rd, Topton, NC 28781).
