He was predeceased by: his parents, William Marcus Holland and Frances Whitaker Holland; and his wife Winona Sue Waldroup Holland. He is survived by: his children, Michael Holland (Teresa) of Lincolnton, Robin Dockery of Lincolnton, Renee Moody (Rick) of Lincolnton and Brooke Schrum of Lincolnton; and his grandchildren, Blayr Deaver, Lauryn Sailors, Jordan Donahue, Gracie Holland, John Schrum, William Schrum and Cassi Dockery. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. A reception was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Valleytown Cemetery (234 Valleytown Cemetery Rd, Andrews, NC 28901).
