She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gardner and Beatrice Ennis Surles; and her brother Jerry Dean Surles. She is survived by: her daughter Tara Haithcock; her sister Dolores S. Priest (Johnny); her sister-in-law Shirley M. Surles; her nieces, Amy Sawyer, Deana Warren (Mike) and Dawn Evans (Bobby); her nephew Jeff Parker (D'Andra); her great-niece Alexa Gentry; and her great-nephew Austin Byrd.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery (14664 NC-210, Angier, NC 27501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church 4440-A Piney Grove Road, Angier, NC 27501.
