She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Bass and Eva Madery Kirby; her husband Jimmy G. Avery; her sons, Jimmy Ray Avery and Tommy Avery; her siblings, Ruth Pope, Alice Bass, Marvin Bass, Robert Bass and Charles Bass; and her grandchildren, Christy Avery Odoms and Donald Lee Avery, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie G. Avery and Donald L. Avery; and her sister Louise Phillips. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and by 10 great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens (2712 Oak Grove Church Rd, Angier, NC 27501).
