He is survived by: his sons, James Roy Farmer, Jr. (Debbie Farmer) of Raleigh, Timothy Mark Farmer of Clayton and Stephen Russell Farmer (Stacy Bumgarner Farmer) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Chris Roberts (Keri), Amber Jones (Andrew) and Sophie Farmer; his great grandchildren, Rebekah and Autumn; and his siblings, Jeanette Davis, Faye Pearson and John Stanley Farmer.
