It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mair Mavis Gill of Angier, North Carolina, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mair Mavis may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hallam and Catherine Hicks Hallam; her siblings, Handel Hallam, Myddyn Hallam and Dorothy Mathias; and her former husband Reverend James William "Bill" Gill.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Marchant; and her children, Karen Jones (Jerry) and James Gill. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Community Church (2160 Harnett Central Rd, Angier, NC 27501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
