She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Young and Claudia Stancil Young; her former husbands, Roy Grimes and Hap Hanson; her husband Robert Hicks; and her daughters, Denise G. Dorman and Dawn Dixon.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Dickerson of Monroe, Wendy Hartwig of Burgaw and Timothy Grimes; and her daughter-in-law Betty Grimes of Willow Spring. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
