He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Matthews and Helen Matthews; and his sisters, Hilda Weaver and Marie Matthews. He is survived by: his children, Lori Matthews, Teresa Rupp (Daniel), Richard Matthews (Julie), Donna Preddy (Michael) and Shea Barbour (Scott); and his siblings, Cathy Matthews, Johnny and Jimmy Matthews. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
