With sadness, we share the passing of Carolyn Olive Thompson (Apex, North Carolina). Carolyn, born on June 1, 1947, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Millard Olive and Elizabeth Lee Olive; her husband Thomas Murrell Thompson Jr.; her son Rodney Michael Thompson; her grandson Jacob "Coby" Michael Sadler; and her sisters, Linda Olive Horton and Besty Leigh Olive.
She is survived by: her daughter Lynne Thompson Sadler (Butch); her granddaughter Erin Sadler; and her siblings, Bobby Olive (Judy), Janice Olive Nobles (Jimmy) and Terry Olive (Terry). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olive Chapel Baptist Church (600 New Hill Olive Chapel Rd, Apex, NC 27502). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Apex Funeral Home (550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Olive Chapel Baptist Church (600 New Hill Olive Chapel Rd, Apex, NC 27502).
