We announce the death of Hugh Harris Cameron of Apex, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Crawford Harris and Hugh Edwin Cameron. He is survived by: his sister Addie Lee Cameron Stephenson; his daughter Catherine Lee Cameron; his wife Maryella Bruton Cameron; his daughters, Betsy (Eric Tang) and Julie (Jeffrey Oram); and his grandchildren, Ashley Tang-Halverson (Isaac), Kristen Gates (Cameron), Rachel Tang (Trey Townsend), Abby Cameron, Cameron Oram and Sol Oram.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Apex United Methodist Church (100 S Hughes St, Apex, NC 27502).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Apex UMC Music Program at 100 South Hughes St, Apex, NC 27502.
