With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Evelyn Haas of Apex, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Brundage and Marjorie Brundage; her husband William "Bill" Haas; and her brother Kenneth Brundage. She is survived by: her children, Tyler Haas (Joan), Danielle Mayer (Jason) and Brandon Haas (Julie); her grandchildren, Kacie Burton (Chris), Preston Haas, Savannah Hawkey (Jon), Grace Mayer, Ryan Mayer, Sydney Haas and Will Haas; and her great grandchildren, Christopher Burton, Jaxx Burton, Emersyn Gustafson, Tyler Hawkey and Evelyn Hawkey. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Apex Funeral Home (550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (804 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27513). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at the Montlawn Cemetery (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
