Mark leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Mark’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Mark will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Axtell and Dorothy Axtell. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Axtell; and his son Scott Axtell (Brynne).
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the United Church (820 E Williams St, Apex, NC 27502).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Wake County or Transitions Life Care.
