Michael Hammond Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Hammond of Apex, North Carolina, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jim" Hammond and Sara Hunt Hammond; and his son Shannon Hammond. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Faile Michael Anthony (Frankie), Tina Hammond-Mills (Kevin) and Jodi Hammond; his siblings, James Danny Hammond (Cathy), Jack Hammond, Anthony Hammond, Maxine Hammond, Marlene Parsons (Dean) and Lisa Simmons; and his grandchildren, Mallery, Christian, Chance, Kylie, Bryson, Loga, Preston, Emma and Ella. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church (427 Gaddy Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (427 Gaddy Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340).
