He was predeceased by: his parents, John Murphy and Ellen Gallagher Murphy; his wife Mary P. Moore; his brother William Murphy; and his son-in-law B. J. Hulett.
He is survived by: his children, James Murphy (Lisa) of Sugar Hill, GA, Mary Ellen Hulett of Lawrenceville, GA, Eileen Twomey (Patrick) of Aiken, SC and Meg Murphy of Apex, NC.. He is also survived by children, grand-children and great- grand-children.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory (116 Bissell Ave, Oil City, PA 16301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
