We bid farewell to Richard Durham Sr. of Ararat, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 26, 2026 at the age of 87. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Durham and Alice Durham (Flippin); and his wife Jane Armstrong Durham. He is survived by: his siblings, Carlos Ray and Carolyn Durham Bennett; his children, Ric Durham (Debby) of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Mardi Durham of Statesville, NC; his grandsons, Seth Durham of Greensboro and Kenan Durham of Winston-Salem; and his brother-in-law Archie Armstrong (Brenda) of Mt. Airy, NC. He is also survived by three nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
