He was predeceased by: his parents, Roby Johnson and Virginia Ruth Johnson; and his siblings, Darrell Eugene Johnson and Patricia Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Judy Phillips Johnson; his children, Roy Johnson, Jr. of Thomasville and Sheri McGugan of Archdale; and his brother Arvil Johnson. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery (1730 W English Rd, High Point, NC 27262).
