James Peele Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Peele of Archdale, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Peele and Allie Whitaker Peele; his wife Judy Peele; and his siblings, Verna Douglas, Faye Coltrane, Mildred Byrd and Harold Peele.

He is survived by: his children, Kelly Peele Smith (Daniel) of Thomasville and Scott Peele of High Point; his sister Maxine Cox of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Emily Happel (Brett) of High Point and Hayden Smith of Thomasville; and his great grandchildren, Tanner Smith, Paxton Happel and Finley Happel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
