It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jettie Arlene King Chitwood of Archdale, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Samuel; her husband Albert Chitwood; her siblings, Harvey, Percy, Willie, Elmer, Carlos, Warren King, Mary Etta, Mamie, Gladys, Mildred and Lena; and her son-in-law John Poe.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy C. DeHart (Trampess) and Debra C. Poe; her grandchildren, John Poe (Rachel), Jerry Poe (Heather), Michelle Robinson, Cody DeHart and April Clark (Peter); and her great grandchildren, Chelsea Theiss (Michael), Chase Poe, Anna Keith (Caleb), Elizabeth Poe, Jordan, Caleb Rohrer, Casey and Kinsley Clark. She is also survived by several nieces and nephew.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. It was at the close of President Trump's first term, when the United States was devastated with the COVID 19 pandemic, and President Trump seeking a second term, champagning against Joseph 'Joe" Biden, was defeated by Joseph 'Joe" Biden, who had previously served as the Vice President to Barack Obama.
