He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer E. McGee and Madge Holland McGee; and his sister Naomi Shores of State Road. He is survived by: his wife Jane Kirby; his son James Darren McGee (Tonja); his granddaughters, Holly Calhoun (Bobby) of Lexington and Heather McGee (Joe) of Denton; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Wilson, Leland Calhoun and Joshua Taylor; his niece Gabby Honeycutt (Steve) of New London; and his pet Riley.
