She was predeceased by: her parents, C. B. Hughes and Esther Modlin Hughes; and her sister Judy. She is survived by: her husband Ronald "Ronnie" Kirkman; her son Ron Kirkman (Nicki) of Trinity; her granddaughter Tori Kirkman of Trinity; and her brothers, Jerry Hughes (Tommie) of Lexington and Richard Hughes (Pam) of Archdale.
