He is survived by: his wife Linda Portis Cunningham; his children, Chad Cunningham, Ernie Akins, Tracy H. Flores and April Cunningham; his grandchildren, Layla, Lily, Chad Jr., Brandon, Josh, Jonte, Seth, Miklo, Kirsten and Nicholas; and his brothers, Darrell Cunningham and Ray Cunningham of Reidsville. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
