She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wallen and Dorothy Stepp; and her significant other David Lee Brookshire. She is survived by: her son Joshua Floyd Tolley; her former husband James Floyd Tolley; her grandchildren, Shylah Grace Tolley and Khloe Conley; and her pets, Lainey Wilson and Charlie Star. She is also survived by many extended family members, friends, colleagues, and fellow dog.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Oak Forest Presbyterian Church (880 Sand Hill Rd, Asheville, NC 28806).
