She is survived by: her children, Tammy Brown and Thomas Lamont Brown (Devin); her grandchildren, Ashaunta S. Turner, Briona N. Chambers, Kain M. Chambers and Jasmine DeVaynes; her great grandchildren, Shyiah A. Irby, Saiyd M. Irby and Olivia Anderson; her siblings, Polly A. Young of Burnsville, Edward Jackson of Morganton and Rev. Carolyn J. Myles of Black Mountain; and her sister-in-law Anne Jackson of Morganton.
