She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Parish and Mattie Pettit Parish; her husband Joseph Landrum Vandiver; her siblings, Kate Hyder, Marion Loftis, Charles Parish and Junior Parish; her nephew Kenneth Hyder; and her nieces, Tammy Hyder and Kathy Bryant.

She is survived by: her nephew Steve Hyder; her niece Donna Hyder (Donald); her great-nephew Chris Dublynn; and her nephew Reverend Daniel Bryant.
