It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Evans (Arden, North Carolina), who passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Harmon and Rosa Harmon; her daughter Brenda Pettit; and her granddaughter Chloe Pettit. She is survived by: her husband Uel Evans; her daughter Becky Coleman (Mike); her grandchildren, Ben Evans (Angela), Amanda Cope (Cory), Samuel Coleman (Payton) and Zachary Brevard (Krista); her great grandchildren, Davis, Grace and Zimri; and her siblings, Ronald Harmon and Charlotte Dorsey.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704).
