Elizabeth left this world on September 23, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Hall and Virginia Sloan Swain; and her daughters, Elizabeth Hannah Wooley and Ann McLauchlin Wooley. She is survived by: her children, John Rush Wooley (Jane) and Louise Wooley Noble (Marty); her grandchildren, Jennifer Gillstrap (Christian), Ashton Watkins, Juan Ortiz (Allison) and Alex Ortiz (Giovanna); her great grandchildren, Rowan Watkins-Webb, Daniel, Stephen Gillstrap, Sophie, Forrest Ortiz and Isabel Ortiz; her sister Virginia Smith; her son-in-law Bob Castro; Carolyn Combs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ardenwoods (2400 Appalachian Blvd, Arden, NC 28704).
