He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Taylor and Helen Norville Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Davis Taylor; his children, Stephanie Kelley (Robert) of Arden and Matthew Taylor of Dallas, TX; his sisters, Hope Taylor Allen of Madison, GA and Barbara Venters (John) of Carrollton, GA; his grandchildren, Evangeline Kelley of Arden and Elliot Kelley of Chicago, IL; his mother-in-law Alice Davis of Valley, AL; and his sister-in-law Fran Davis Groover (William) of Lanett, AL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mills River United Methodist Church (137 Old Turnpike Rd, Mills River, NC 28759).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Scouting America or to Mills River United Methodist Church.
