She was predeceased by : her parents, Elbert Cephas Duckett and Annie Mae Hogan Duckett; her sister Elaine Duckett Broyles; and her husband Garson Burns.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
