She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Stokes and Margaret Newsom Stokes; her husband Charles Newton Erwin, Jr.; and her sisters, Aleene Branson and Betsy Butts.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Wait, Sally Johnson (Kenneth) and John Erwin (Beth); her grandchildren, Hannah Wait, Sam Wait, Addy Wait, Maggie Brewer, Charles Johnson, SallyAnne Johnson, Grace Erwin and Sarah Erwin; and her great grandchildren, Charlie Johnson and Hazel Ball. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
