We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2026, at the age of 91, Mary Kampf of Arden, North Carolina, born in Burnsville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mary departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her daughters, Loretta Buckner (Lane) of Charlotte, Rosemary Allen (Mike) of Marshall and Valerie Williams (Phil) of Arden; and her close friends, Marilyn Eastman of Marshall and Tony. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A rosary will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Barnabas Catholic Church (109 Crescent Hill Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A burial will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (962 Old Hwy 70 E, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
