He was predeceased by: his parents, William Epton Parris and Dirce Ziccone Parris; and his brother William "Danny" Epton Parris, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn "Gwen" Holcombe Parris; his stepdaughter Trina Cone (Samuel); his grandchildren, Darden Cone and Wortham Cone; and his siblings, Joan Parris Whitmire, Margaret Ballentine, Elaine Parris, Mary Cain (Michael) and Lee Edward "Eddie" Parris.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704).
