It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eugene Carnes (Arden, North Carolina), who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oakley Carnes and Virginia Carnes; his wife Linda Johnston Carnes; his siblings, Lynette Beman, Ronald Carnes and Barbara Scharett; and his great grandchild Kooper.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Carnes, Jr. (Laurene), Debbie Lamas (Frank) and Jayson Carnes (Marcie); his grandchildren, Gregory, Brianna, Spencer, David, Alyssa, Lacey, Mallory and Miranda; and his great grandchildren, Rylan, Kallie, Lincoln and Carson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
