The family announces the passing of Sandra Kay Candler (Arden, North Carolina) on September 4, 2026. Sandra, born on June 11, 1944, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Metcalf and Alfreda Ball Metcalf; and her husband Ronnie Lee Candler. She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Kilby (Eugene) of Lake City, SC and Regina Candler (Amit) of Hendersonville; her brother Jimmy Metcalf (Shirley) of Marshall; her grandsons, Ronnie Kilby (Jill) of Fletcher and Kevin Kilby (Lauren) of Charleston, SC; and her great grandchildren, Harrison, Lennox and Willow Kilby. She is also survived by her family, along with all of her extended family, friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704).
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation, in Sandra's honor, to Four Seasons and Elizabeth House, or the Hospice provider of your choice.
