She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy D. Hughes and Gertie Mae Smith Hughes; her son Danny Kimble "Kim" Hewett, Jr.; and her siblings, Weldon, Curtis, Carlton, Luther, Jennings "Skinner", Melton, Elwood, Merle and Lula Mae.

She is survived by: her husband Danny Kimble Hewett, Sr.; her son Scott Hewett; her grandchildren, Ryan Hewett (Jennifer) and Jake Hewett (Dorie); and her great grandchildren, Bryson and Laney.
