We announce the death of Arzelle Brock of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 85. Arzelle will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Elbert Lyons and Ruia Jane Mast Lyons; her former husband Herbert Hoos; and her sister Anne Melton. She is survived by: her husband R. C. Brock; her children, Dee Anderson (Craig) of Hillsborough, Gigi Rogers of Asheboro and Herbie Hoos (Carolyn) of East Stroudsburg, PA; her siblings, Donna Setzer (Joe) of Lincolnton, NC, Judy Walker of North Wilkesboro and Sanford "Sandy" Lyons (Norma) of Nelson, GA; her stepchildren, Charlie Brock, Rhonda Lee, Matthew Brock, Andrew Brock and Phillip Brock; her grandchildren, Rose Lopez, Robbie Golien and Hannah Esteban (Emilio); her great grandchildren, Lillian Lopez, Eric Lopez, Vanessa Lopez, Jackeline Lopez, Miranda Morales, Noah Esteban and Liam Esteban; and her great great grandchild Valentina Lopez. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
